(CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Gov. JB Pritzker Friday reinforced Illinois’ leadership in abortion.

“Fundamental rights and freedoms that generations of women have fought for and marched for and protested for have already been destroyed in half the country,” said Pritzker at a bill-signing ceremony at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

“The MAGA Trump bootlickers are now coming after the other half.”

Pritzker signed a bill protecting abortion providers from prosecution and another one making contraceptives and medication abortions available at campus health centers.
