Decatur, IL (WAND) – Storms this summer damaged Lincoln Homestead State Park and Memorial, felling more than 40 trees and damaging many others.
Park staff have made strong progress restoring buildings, roads and trails, but funding is still needed for forest restoration.
The friends group is raising funds to purchase about 50 young trees.
Every donation helps restore Abraham Lincoln’s first home in Illinois for future generations.
