Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A second Springfield teenager is going to prison for his role in a year-and-a-half old shooting death.

Court records indicate Cordae Curb, 16, who was being tried as an adult, pleaded guilty in two separate cases Thursday, and was sentenced to 15 years in prison for first degree murder accountability, with five more years for a case accusing him of drugs and armed violence charges.

Curb allegedly stole and drove the car Dremone Patterson, 17, fired from in April of last year, killing Keyon Day, 16, near Southeast High School.

Patterson was sentenced Wednesday to 30 years in prison as part of a plea deal.
