Names of a mother and daughter killed in a vehicle crash released

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The names of the victims in Tuesday’s crash on I-55 South near the I-72 split have been released.

Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon confirms 37-year-old Jennifer Damm of Riverton and her 8-year-old daughter Kendyn Damm were killed in the crash when their vehicle hit the back of a semi truck.

North Mac School District states via a social media post that Kendyn was a student in the district.

The crash remains under investigation.
