Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – As February rolls to the end of its short month, the Lincoln Library has some exciting Book Club events coming up. Lana Shovlin of The Lincoln Library sat down with Will Stevenson on WTAX’s Morning Newswatch, to spotlight their Black Authors Book Club!

“February 24th is our Black Authors Book Club.  This Book Club isn’t just in Black History Month. This Club is an ongoing club through The Library. This is a way to create a space for readers to learn and share in The Black Experience by using black authors. This month we are featuring a book called, ‘South to America’ by Imani Perry.”

Shovlin goes on to share what the book was about and invites everyone to join the Club on February 24th, from 5:00pm to 7:30pm in The DeFrates Room at The Lincoln Library. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join!
