Meet Rudy — APL Dog of the Week

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Don’t let Rudy’s age fool you — this handsome hound has the heart and energy of a pup! Nicknamed “Cowboy” for his big personality and lively spirit, Rudy is a 12-year-old Plott Hound mix who still knows how to party (and by party, we mean zoomies and cuddle time).

Rudy is talkative and full of charm. He’ll keep you company with his expressive vocals and melt your heart with his love for lap time — yes, he’s a full-on lapdog! Whether you’re hanging out on the couch or heading outside for a walk, Rudy is always up for adventure and affection.

He’s never met a human he didn’t like, and he greets everyone like an old friend. Rudy is dog-selective, so he may prefer to be the only dog in the home or have slow, respectful introductions with others. He hasn’t been tested with cats yet.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s equal parts snuggle bug and spirited sidekick, Rudy is your guy. He’s proof that age is just a number and love has no limits.
