Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Introducing Kurt, our Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control Dog of the Week.

Kurt is a two year old Greyhound mix dog who has been at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center since the beginning of September, when he was brought in as a stray. Kurt is a friendly, easy going boy who loves people and chasing a ball in the play yard. This medium sized boy walks nicely on a leash and would love to spend time taking long walks with his forever person. Kurt is available for foster, foster to adopt and adoption. 

There are many wonderful dogs like Kurt at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center who have been waiting months for a second chance at a new life. They are all available for foster, foster to adopt and adoption. Please come out to meet them. Your new best friend is waiting for you! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00.
