Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – This handsome fellow is Chris, another of our longtime residents at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center. You won’t find a sweeter dog than Chris in our shelter.

Chris is a five-year-old Chow Chow mix who arrived at the shelter with several other dogs after a confiscation. He’s a very calm, easy going boy who just loves to be with his volunteer friends. Chris is a big boy but he’s so easy to walk on a leash. He’s happy to just take a slow stroll and enjoy a beautiful day.

Chris came to us from a bad situation, but he is ready for a new life with a family that loves him and will take good care of him. Are you willing to give him a chance at a fresh start? Chris is available for foster, foster to adopt and adoption. Please come out to Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center and spend some time with Chris in the fresh air and sunshine. Shelter hours are Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00.

FOR A LIMITED TIME ADOPTION FEE FOR ALL ANIMALS IS $25!
