Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The kennels at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center are completely full and we’re at the point it’s critical to find foster and adoptive homes for our dogs. If you are considering adoption or can open your home to foster a dog now is the time to come out and meet them to see which dog is the best fit for your family.

Our Dog of the Week is a handsome Husky mix. Chaos is 5 months old and he’s been at SCACAC since early June when he was brought in as an owner surrender. Our volunteers say Chaos is a fantastic, sweetheart of a dog. He’s very active and smart. He loves to play fetch and run in the play yard. Chaos will do best with an active family who will give him the time he needs for play and mental stimulation. He’s available for foster, foster to adopt and adoption.

Does Chaos sound like the boy for you? You can meet him and all of the other adoptable dogs during shelter hours Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00.

Visit the Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center website for more information.
