Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Introducing Bruno, our Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control Dog of the Week.

This handsome young man is approximately two years old and he’s a Rottweiler/Lab mix. Bruno is as sweet as can be and he’s a friendly and social boy. He loves to give and receive affection and is generous with lots of kisses.

Bruno is a high energy young dog who will do best in an active home. He sits nicely for treats but could use some training to best use his high energy level. If you’re looking for a fun and affectionate dog to be part of your summertime fun please come meet Bruno.

The kennels at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center are full to capacity. The dogs in the shelter have an urgent need for help from the community. All dogs are available for foster or adoption. Every dog that finds a home makes space for other homeless dogs that arrive daily.

SHELTER HOURS ARE MONDAY-FRIDAY 10:30-4:15 AND SATURDAY 9:00-1:00.
