Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A sweet, playful soul with a heart of gold and a love for all things toys! This 3-year-old Retriever/Lab mix absolutely lights up when it’s time to play catch—her excitement is contagious, and it’s impossible not to smile watching her go.

Athena is one of our best playgroup dogs—she gets along with just about everyone! From splashing in the kiddie pool to playing tag with her doggy friends, she’s always in the mix, spreading good vibes wherever she goes. She’s a social butterfly with four paws and a wagging tail.

When playtime winds down, Athena is happiest right by your side. Whether you’re relaxing on the couch or sitting outside, she’ll find a spot next to you, soaking up the calm companionship.

She’s the perfect blend of energy and ease: ready to romp one minute and lounge the next. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who loves to play hard and chill even harder, Athena is ready to meet you.
