Man charged with grooming 15-year-old girl given pretrial release

Springfield, IL (WAND) – A Sangamon County man is facing charges after police said he admitted to grooming a 15-year-old girl and exchanged sexual images with her.

Bryan Hatcher, 22, is accused of grooming, possessing child sexual assault material, and sharing a sexual video of an adult woman without her consent.

Court documents show Hatcher’s ex-girlfriend reported him to police for having sexual communication with a 15-year-old. She said Hatcher also shared a private sexual video without consent.

The Sangamon County Sherirff’s Office said Hatcher admitted to knowing the girl was underage.

In court, Hatcher was granted pretrial release. A prelimiary hearing is set for June 25.
