Lucky Horseshoes announce 2026 schedule

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – — The Springfield Lucky Horseshoes are excited to announce the release of their 2026 regular season schedule as the team prepares for its fifth season of play in the Prospect League.

The Lucky Horseshoes will open the 2026 season on Tuesday, May 26, when they travel to Danville to take on the Danville Dans. Springfield’s home opener is set for Wednesday, May 27, as the Horseshoes host the Dans at Robin Roberts Stadium with first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

Springfield’s 2026 schedule features a 56-game regular season, including 29 home games at Robin Roberts Stadium and 27 road games, offering fans another summer packed with exciting Prospect League baseball.

One of the highlights of the season comes on Saturday, July 18, when the Lucky Horseshoes will participate in a unique day/night, two-ballpark doubleheader against the Decatur Baseball Club. Springfield will first travel to Decatur for a noon matchup before returning home to host Decatur that evening at Robin Roberts Stadium.
