UPDATE: Jacksonville police release identities of two found dead on Wednesday

(CAPITOL CITY NOW) – UPDATE:  Jacksonville police have identified the two men who were pronounced dead in homes in the 1200 block of South East Street Wednesday. Kyle Tribble, 28, was found in his home that morning with serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police then found another man, 28-year-old Christopher A. Austin, dead in his home in the same block around 1:00 p.m.

WAND TV reports autopsies of both men were conducted on Thursday, and their deaths are still under investigation. There are no arrests at this time.

12/11/24 – Jacksonville police responded to a call Wednesday morning for an unresponsive person at a home in the 1200 block of S. East Street. Officers found the person had sustained serious injuries, and the individual was later pronounced dead at the scene.

During the investigation, officers found a second deceased person at another home on the same block. Police are treating the deaths as suspicious but believe it’s an isolated incident.

The names of the deceased are being withheld until their families are notified. The Jacksonville Police, Illinois State Police, Morgan County Coroner, and Morgan County State’s Attorney are handling the investigation, with help from the South Jacksonville Police and Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.
