Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Our news partners at WAND-TV report the Illinois House Freedom Caucus has filed articles of impeachment against Governor Pritzker.

The articles accuse the Governor of making “vile comments” following the death of conservative influencer and activist Charlie Kirk.  Miller and Representative Adam Niemerg tell WAND they are aware Democrats will not want to impeach Pritzker but for him to make inflammatory comments against Republicans “for political gain is unacceptable”.

Pritzker said Wednesday that Trump ignites this kind of violence after issuing condolences to the Kirk family. The Governor condemned the shooting and said political violence should never be the norm.

Miller filed House Resolution 466 Friday; but according to WAND, Democrats will likely kill the measure in the House Rules Committee during next month’s veto session.
