Springfield, IL (AP) – Horace Mann Educators Corp. (HMN) on Wednesday reported profit of $41.6 million in its second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Springfield, Illinois-based company said it had profit of $1.01. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and amortization costs, came to $1.17 per share.

The provider of auto and homeowners’ insurance for teachers and other educators posted revenue of $443.5 million in the period.

Horace Mann expects full-year earnings in the range of $4.60 to $4.90 per share.
