High school state girls basketball tournament wraps up Saturday

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The final games of this year’s high school girls basketball season will be played Saturday, as the IHSA State Girls Basketball Tournament wraps up.

The champions will be decided at Illinois State University.

On Friday, Chatham Glenwood defeated Trinity 46-35 in Class 3A play, and will play for the championship Saturday against Washington at 4:00 p.m.

In Class 1A play, Mt. Pulaski will play Saturday for their championship against Deer Creek-Mackinaw at 10:00 a.m.

Meanwhile, in boys basketball play, Quincy Notre Dame defeated Rochester 72-64 in the Class 2A Pleasant Plains Sectional Championship Friday.  Routt defeated Brown County 49-45 in the Class 1A Nokomis Sectional.
