/Friends of SCAC/Meow Mobile

Springfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center has many lovable dogs and cats waiting for their forever homes.

Meet Idaho – Meow Mobile’s Cat of the Week
Idaho is a lovely gray tabby with high white, around 18 months old. She arrived as a stray with her four kittens on June 12. The kittens are healthy and old enough to eat kitten food, so Idaho has been a wonderful mother. It’s time now for her to enjoy being a young cat
herself. Idaho is very friendly, loves to be petted, and especially loves ear scritches. She is ready to go home with you – spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated appropriate to age.

Idaho is negative for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV).

Meet Lainey – Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control‘s Dog of the Week

Whew! It’s hot! The dog days of summer are definitely upon us. Our Pet of the Week has been waiting since the dead of winter to meet her new family.

Lainey is a pretty two-year-old girl who arrived at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center as a stray on February 3rd. This high energy girl is a great ball player. She’ll fetch the ball, bring it back and get ready for another throw.
Lainey is a happy goofy girl looking for love and adventure and long walks and fun. Is that the kind of dog you’re looking for?
The kennels at SCACAC are full of dogs who have been waiting months for a second chance in a new loving home. Please come on out and meet them Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-12:45.
