Former Leland Grove police chief indicted on new charges

Springfield, IL (WAND) – A former Leland Grove police chief has been indicted on new charges after his arrest for DUI and domestic battery in February.

Sangamon County court documents show that former chief Daniel Ryan will face charges of theft, misapplication of funds and official misconduct.

He had been with Leland Grove since August 1999.

The specific details of the charges are unknown at this time.

Ryan is due back in court Aug. 13.
