Springfield, IL (WAND) – Charges have been refiled against a woman accused of first-degree murder in the stabbing death of a Lanphier High School student in 2021.

The charges come after 20-year-old Kamyjah Bias’ conviction was reversed and vacated in 2024 by an appellate court.

Bias had been sentenced to 43 years for the stabbing death of Pierre Scott Jr.

The new charges will include two counts of first-degree murder, along with battery and weapons violations.

Bias will make her next court appearance on Monday.
