Crime of the Week:  Help needed solving theft at Best Buy

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – This week, Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in reference to retail theft that occurred at Best Buy, located at 3193 S. Veterans Parkway in Springfield.

On December 18, 2025, around 6:30 pm, two black male suspects entered the store. One suspect, wearing a black coat, stole a PS5 and Xbox off the shelf while the other suspect in a blue coat distracted employees. Both subjects ran out of the store and got into a silver vehicle and fled the scene.
