Crime of the Week:  Help needed solving Illiopolis burglary

Illiopolis, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – This week, Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Sangamon County Sherriff’s Office in reference to a burglary and theft that occurred in the 4300 block of Mount Pulaski Road in rural Illiopolis.

Between 5pm on March 1 and 7am on March 2, unknown person(s) entered a job site and took a 48-inch orange Rigid toolbox along with a 30 black Rigid Toolbox.  Those boxes contained various Milwaukee and Dewalt power tools valued at $1,000.

If photos become available, they will be posted on our website. If you have any information regarding this incident regarding a suspect, suspects or vehicle involved, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 217-788-8427, submit a tip on our website, or use the P3 app. If your tip results in an arrest, you could receive a cash reward up to $2,500.
