Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A well-known comedian who has hosted “Saturday Night Live” and who will host the Primetime Emmy Awards later this month is about to start a new tour, and will make Springfield one of the stops.

Nate Bargatze will perform at the Bank of Springfield Center Friday, February 20, 2026.  Tickets for all the shows on Bargatze’s “Big Dumb Eyes” World Tour go on sale Friday at 10am, with a special pre-sale Thursday starting at 10am by using his website and the keyword “EYES.”

According to a news release, Bargatze is hailed as “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up” by The Atlantic magazine, ranking as the number one comedian in the world.  He had, according to Pollstar, “the biggest one-year gross by a comedy performer in history.”

Bargatze says all new material will be performed at the 62 cities announced so far for the year-long tour.

Bargatze’s company, “Nateland Entertainment,” produces stand-up specials for Netflix and other outlets, along with other material.
