Christian County man denied pretrial release after not guilty plea for shaking a child

Morrisonville, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A Christian County man, who pleaded not guilty April 13th to shaking and seriously hurting a child, has been denied pretrial release.

Our news partners at WAND-TV report 21-year-old Bryan Klee, of Morrisonville, is accused of shaking the child April 10th.

He was charged with aggravated battery of a child under 13, which is a Class X felony and could come with a prison sentence between 6 to 30 years if he is found guilty.

A court document alleges Klee shook the child, causing a “traumatic” brain bleed and retinal hemorrhage.

Klee is scheduled to appear in court again May 26th
