Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW)- Springfield’s Catholic Charites is running a fundraiser this Saturday, all money goes to a great cause. Patrick McConell, representing The Springfield Catholic Charities, was on the WTAX Morning NewsWatch to discuss their upcoming Fundraising event on Saturday.

What exactly are you guys raising money for?

This is our annual fundraiser for Springfield Catholic charities for the programs that we offer here in Springfield. Our well-known St. John’s Breadline. We have our Holy family food pantry, mobile food pantry, which goes out into our rural areas delivering food, a crisis assistance, office legal services, and then intact family services, fundraiser itself, this is probably one of the major fundraising programs for throughout the year.”

From five to 8:30, it’ll be kind of a 1970s theme, we’ll have music, Live auction, silent auction, trivia, costume contest, should be a good time.”
