Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – At least twelve District 186 employees are eligible to apply for the superintendent’s job about to be vacated when Jennifer Gill retires, according to information supplied by the district headquarters.

In addition to Gill, the following employees hold a superintendent’s endorsement in Illinois:

Cynthia Crow, School Improvement Coach, Jefferson MS
Andrea Guerrero, Principal. Washington MS
James Hayes III, Principal, Sandburg ES
Patricia Hilliard, Math Teacher, Franklin MS
Sarah Imhoff, Supervisor of Student Support Services
Terrance Jordan. Director of School Leadership and Family and Community Engagement
Lisa Leardi, Principal, Springfield HS
Gina McLaughlin-Schurman, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources
Alicia Miller, Principal, Lanphier HS
Nicole Moody, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching, Learning and School Culture
Michelle Robertson, Principal, McClernand ES
Dr. Sasie, Fifth Grade Teacher, Hazel Dell ES

It’s possible there are more; the district’s FOIA officer, Julie Hammers, said via email, “Please note that employees are not required to provide this information to the district. As such, there may be other individuals who hold the endorsement that have not been identified by the District’s Human Resources Department.”

The board is expected to contract the Illinois Association of School Boards for search services at a special meeting Monday at a cost of $13,400.
