There is no known link between reading and testosterone count, but it can’t hurt to try.

“Real Men Read” is returning to District 186. The program involves men volunteering to read to third graders. Dubois Elementary principal Nathan Kochanowski says that’s a great age to reach kids.

“Data is showing that post-covid. our third graders didn’t get a lot of exposure” to reading, said the principal. “They’re just showing they just need a little extra support with their reading. Also, third grade is when they start their state testing.”

There is an informational meeting Dec. 4.
