Next Generation of Business Leaders Learn From an Internet Pro

Budding entrepreneurs from around Sangamon County are participating in a University of Illinois-Springfield program.

SHG senior Caitlin Churchill says hearing a top executive of social media site LinkedIn gave her some insight on how she may be able to capitalize on developing business relationship.

“The reason I took the class is because I am interested in going into business,” says Churchill.  “I want to see how social media could help”

LinkedIn’s Manager of Global Accounts, Chris Carrollo, addressed about three dozen  high school students who participate in the “Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities,” or Sangamon “CEO” class.

The students receive school credit and also have chances to meet with business leaders from the community.
