Land of Lincoln Honor Flight is cleared for take-off! After being grounded for two years due to COVID restrictions and related health concerns, the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight is pleased to announce that current conditions allow us to resume flights to honor our veterans! We have planned five (5) flights for 2022: June 14, July 19, August 30, September 27, and November 1, 2022.

We plan to start by making calls to all WWII and Korean Era veterans on our waitlist as well as the Vietnam Era veterans who were originally scheduled on the canceled April 2020 flight. The remaining Vietnam veterans on our waitlist will be contacted for their flight in order of their date of application.

About Land of Lincoln Honor Flight

Land of Lincoln Honor Flight is an established 501(c)3 not-for-profit hub of the national Honor Flight Network. Our all-volunteer team manages and operates the organization while keeping administrative costs at approximately 1%.

All expenses for this one-day trip are the sole responsibility of the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight including the flight, ground transportation, meals/snacks, and beverages. Trained volunteer guardians provide assistance and accompany our veterans on their flight. WWII and Korean Era veterans are given priority on the waiting list. We also give top priority to any Vietnam Era veteran who has a terminal illness.
