Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A Chatham woman may not have to spend much more time in prison after being convicted of her role in a murder and home invasion.

Court records indicate Katherine Smith, 26, was sentenced Monday to 13 years in prison for the break-in.

But, Smith was given credit for more than 2,000 days worth of time served in jail; and with day-for-day credit, that means her sentence is almost complete.
