Woman sentenced for falsifying documents to obtain a concealed carry license

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A Sangamon County woman has pled guilty to falsifying training certificates required to obtain a concealed carry license in Illinois.

37-year-old Tayana Henderson, of Springfield, was sentenced Thursday to two years of second chance probation and 30 hours of community service in Sangamon County Court.

Henderson pleaded guilty to unlawful violation of the Firearm Concealed Carry Act, as well as forgery.

She was an instructor who trained others seeking to obtain concealed carry licenses, falsified certificates by claiming applicants had completed legally required 16 hours of training when they had not.
