MargeSpringfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The Friends of SCAC Dog of the Week is a pretty lady looking for a new home for the holidays.

Marge has been living in a kennel at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center since September 30th. She came to us as a stray so we don’t know anything about her past life, but we do know we like this pretty adult girl very much.

Marge is about 5 years old. She walks nicely on a leash and has plenty of energy for long walks, playing in the play yard and hanging out with her human friends. She’s going to be a great new family member who is ready to take a brisk walk and then go home and warm up on a nice cozy bed.

The kennels at SCACAC are still completely full. We need your help! THE ADOPTION FEE ON ALL DOGS HAS BEEN REDUCED TO $25.00 THRU DECEMBER 31ST! If you’ve been thinking about adding a new family member this is the perfect time. Not ready to adopt? Please consider fostering. Come on out and meet the dogs Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00.
