Meet ‘King’ – APL Dog of the Week

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – King is a 2-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix who recently returned to the shelter—through no fault of his own—and he’s ready for a fresh start with a forever family.

This sweet and energetic boy is full of life, love, and curiosity. King is treat-motivated and eager to please, making him a fast learner who responds well to positive reinforcement. He loves to play, especially when toys are involved, and his joyful zoomies will keep you smiling.

After some active fun, King is just as happy to snuggle up for some well-earned cuddles. He’s the perfect mix of playful and affectionate, and he’s ready to bring his big heart and happy spirit into a loving home.

If you’re ready to welcome King into your life, give the APL a call at 217-544-7387 or fill out an application at apl-shelter.org.
