The shooting on Holly Drive July 19, 2025 claimed the life of Rekeea Jackson-Mason, 36, of Chatham.

In Illinois, Second Degree Murder can be filed if there’s an unreasonable belief of self-defense or other mitigating circumstances.

Mason will be back in court September 22nd.
