Detour on Cook Street starts Thursday for water main work

Springfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Beginning Thursday, west-bound Cook Street will be detoured at South College Street due to water main extension work. City Water, Light and Power reports the work is expected to last multiple days.

Lanes will remain closed until road surface repairs are complete. In the event of inclement weather, CWLP reports work will be rescheduled.
