Crime of the Week:  Help needed identifying suspects in damage, theft at Lake Springfield Marina

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – This week, Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in reference to a theft and criminal damage case that occurred at Lake Springfield Marina, 17 Waters Edge, in Springfield.

On August 9th and August 10th, officers were called for a theft report where suspects stole gas tanks from rental boats.   On August 10th around 10 pm a white SUV was seen parked at the far end of the lot.  Two suspects, one wearing a red shirt with dark colored pants and the other wearing a white shirt and light colored pants, exited the SUV and went to the rental boats.  A short time later the SUV pulls down to the docks and the gas tanks are loaded into the SUV before leaving.
