Springfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The Christmas Season has officially begun! You can start celebrating with these special events!

The Gables of Springfield will be holding their annual Light Up The Gables event at 5pm Saturday.

Now through December 23rd you can take a stroll through the Henson Robinson Zoo and enjoy thousands of lights and displays. Grab the family and gather at one of the photo opportunities for your holiday pics! Enjoy the hot chocolate bar or roast a marshmallow over the fire pit for a delicious s’more.

Also through Dec. 25, Thursdays-Sundays & Dec 23-25: from 6 – 9 p.m. Chatham Community Park will be hosting their annual Light Up the Park drive thru holiday light display.
