Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) –  Baskin Robbins announced in a Facebook post Friday construction is underway on a new store at the original South MacArthur location.

Our news partner at WAND-TV report Baskin Robbins tells customers to look for a grand opening in the Spring or Summer of 2026.

The original storefront was destroyed in June when a van plowed into the building, located in the 1700 block of South MacArthur.

One person was injured and taken to the hospital after that incident.
