I’ve always had a love for music, but it got really serious when, at 22 months old, all I wanted for Christmas was a “weckerd pwayder” translation: record player. I played my mom’s 78s and 45s of the Crew Cuts, Elvis, Pat Boone, etc,, until the day I saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. From that day on, I have been (ands always will be) a huge fan, but I also appreciate many other bands and forms of music beyond rock.
I got into radio during my college days at Millikin University. Broadcasting moved me from Illinois to Texas, Kentucky and back to Illinois in the mid 80s. I took a break from regular air shifts for several years but continued to do voice-over work for radio, TV and corporate ventures. In early 2008, WYMG was kind enough to offer me a couple of weekend shifts at WYMG and, since then, I’ve been having the time of my life!
I sincerely appreciate your company when you listen.
