Bruce Springsteen has thanked fans who came out to see him and The E Street Band on their recent Wrecking Ball world tour by posting a heartfelt note on his website.

“The Boss” has just ended the tour, and he has paid tribute to the “tramps and travelers” who helped sell out venues across the world online.

He writes, “To all the tramps and travelers who exposed themselves night after night to the long flights, the long drives, the long queuing, the rain, the sleeplessness in order to fuel us from band center, we appreciate it.

“To all of you who were there along the way, we send out our mightiest and most heartfelt thanks. You have reignited in us a great passion for what we do. We’ll do our best to honor it.”

Springsteen has also uploaded a video of his fans backed by his stirring rendition of punk act Suicide’s “Dream Baby Dream” to his website.

The rocker won’t be offstage for long – he is scheduled to perform at New York’s Theater at Madison Square Garden as part of the Stand Up for Heroes Benefit on Nov. 6.
