Veteran Walks for Others

Veteran Walks for Others

A 23-year old veteran of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq is making his way from coast to coast — but he is doing it by foot.

Eric Peters was in Springfield and says he is making the journey to draw attention to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, something he lives with every day.

“I”m walking across America to bring attention to PTSD. It is something I’ve learned to deal with.  I kind of think at as a marriage,” says Peters.

Peters says he began his journey in June and relies on the kindness of others for shelter and food.

You can follow his journey on Facebook (No Veteran Walks Alone).
