The Illinois Department of Agriculture has announced the winners of recent state commodity board elections. The new board members will serve three-year terms.

Elected to the Illinois Corn Marketing Board are Pat Dumoulin of Hampshire, Mark Wilson of Toulon, James A. Reed of Monticello, Bill Long of Franklin and Donald Duvall of Carmi.

Elected to the Illinois Soybean Program Operating Board are Paul Rasmussen Junior of DeKalb, Stan Born of Dunlap, Michael Marron of Fithian, Carrie Winkelman of Tallula and Roberta Dolbeare of Nebo.

Other positions will be appointed.

The boards decide which industry promotions and research projects get funded by “check-off dollars,” which are assessments on commodity sales.
