Sewer Repair to Begin Monday in Downtown Springfield

The City of Springfield Office of Public Works has announced that Monroe Street between 9th Street and 11th Street will be closed starting Monday, August 11th, to repair the sewer.

The work is anticipated to last one week, weather permitting. Pedestrians should use caution or plan for alternative routes where sidewalks are closed.

Motorists that disregard the Road Closed and Do Not Enter signs are subject to a $250.00 fine.
