Millions, if not more, on-line accounts may have been hacked by what the US says is a group of hackers based out of Russia.

UIS Professor Lucas Vespa agrees it is a hassle to change passwords for a number of on-line accounts but says it it is necessary to secure financial and personal information.

“It is becoming increasingly difficult to protect yourself from hackers. It is always a lot easier to tear down than build up and the hackers tear down. It is up to the users to build up and it is difficult to do,” says Vespa.

Vespa advises to use random letters and symbols for passwords and to have a different log-in for all accounts. He always warns that people to need to protect their cell phone passwords as well.
