Police need the public’s help to figure out who’s responsible for several storage unit burglaries.

Sangamon and Menard County Crimestoppers says thousands of dollars worth of tools, appliances, power equipment, electronics and more were stolen between August 2013 and this month from storage units in Auburn, Chatham and Southern View. Police say a U-Haul or single cab pick up might be involved.

Anyone with anonymous information is encouraged to contact Sangamon and Menard County Crimestoppers at 788-8427, online at cash-for-tips-dot-us, or through text message. Type TIP 672 plus a message and send to CRIMES. Information that leads to an arrest could be eligible for a one-thousand dollar reward.
