Money Problems Force Cut Back In Historic Sites Hours

Several historic sites, including some Springfield, are cutting back on operating  hours after Labor Day because of state finances.

Dana-Thomas House, the Old State Capitol, New Salem, Lincoln’s Tomb and, the Vachel Lindsey House are all eliminating one day a week from their operating schedule.

The Lincoln-Herndon Office is also closed because of renovations.
