Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport may not be Lambert or O’Hare International airports but airport executive director Mark Hanna says it has features the major airports don’t.  Airport authorities say passenger traffic climbed by more than 4.5 percent to more than 144,000 travelers last year.  Hanna says the internet has made it easier than ever to compare prices and convenience.

“At the end of the day, the biggest marketing piece that we have is the power of the internet and on-line booking search engines,” says Hanna.

Hanna also attributes amenities such as free parking, ease of access, and available destinations for the airport’s growth.
