MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Phil Collins says he’s “thrashing around a piano” as he considers a return to music.

Collins has avoided writing and recording for the past few years, but he’s missed that.

He let it slip that it’s a possibility he’ll put out new music and the Internet went wild — and not always in a good way. Collins says it undermines his confidence a bit when someone hears the news and yells “No!”

He says with a laugh he can’t believe how much hate there is out there.

In the meantime, Collins’ nonprofit group Little Dreams Foundation is working in south Florida to help artistic and athletic children reach their dreams.
