NFL planning for snowy Super Bowl

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Super Sunday is a little more than a week away. But what about Super Saturday, or Friday or even Super Monday?

The NFL is making contingency plans should a mega winter storm hit the New York area on Super Bowl Sunday.

League executive V-P Eric Grubman says one possible option may be to move the start time of the game or even the game day.

This week’s winter storm gave crews a chance for a dress rehearsal of sorts on snow removal at MetLife stadium in northern New Jersey, where the game will be played.
