“Breaking Bad” star Jonathan Banks is set to return from the dead to reprise his role as a private investigator on the series spin-off “Better Call Saul.”

The actor played Mike Ehrmantraut on the popular crime drama from 2009, but his character was killed off in the fifth and final season, which ended last year.

However, he is now set for a return to the small screen in the new series, which will serve as a prequel to Breaking Bad, according to Deadline.com.

“Better Call Saul” will center around the Bob Odenkirk’s role as dodgy-dealing lawyer Saul Goodman and the evolution of his character before he took on Bryan Cranston’s drug lord character Walter White as a client.
